JSD6000 VESSEL PROJECT STINGER DETAIL DESIGN – 2015

SCOPE OF WORK

Detailed Design Stage

  • Stinger structural check for maximum length (190m). Vessel is JSD6000 pipelay vessel

SPECIFICS

  • Time domain simulations
  • Water depth is 2200 m
  • Structural load case defined for each time event of the simulation for code checks
  • Structural model imported from SACS
  • 32″ pipe included in the model as a connector that responds dynamically, tensioned at one end and laying on barge and stinger rollers

SCOPE OF WORK

Detailed Engineering Stage

  • Stinger Structural Analysis during Pipelaying

SPECIFICS

  • Operating, maintenance and stand-by configurations
  • Stinger is self-floating with floodable compartments. 3D hydrodynamic is considered for the stinger compartments and hydrodynamic loads are mapped to the structural nodes of the stinger
  • Constant tension in the stinger support cables / fixed lengths
  • 12″ & 44″ pipes included in the model as a connector that responds dynamically, tensioned at one end and laying on barge and stinger rollers
    Done in partnership with GPMC
