SCOPE OF WORK
Detailed Design Stage
- Adjust the mooring lines first segment length as such as each well slot on the TLP is centered directly above the corresponding subsea wellhead within some defined allowable horizontal offset
- Apply static environment (wind and current) in several directions and verify that the offset remains within the allowable excursion limits associated with a Riser Dog-Leg severity (DLS) of 2 deg/100 ft
- Apply dynamic environments to the found configurations and verify that the allowable values for the criteria are not exceeded
SPECIFICS
- The TLP is designed to be able to horizontally translate over a short distance by adjusting the pretensions on each of the 8 mooring lines on the Drilling Tender Vessel (DTV), and 2 holdback lines on the TLP
- Several criteria are to be applied: relative angle between the 2 vessels, minimum separation, allowable offsets of all kind, line safety factors, etc…
- Writting of an algorithm to automate the repositioning procedure
- 24 slots to study
